I made this cover for the book Coraline by Neil Gaiman for an assignement. Since the book is very grim and on the horror side, I wanted my cover to be black and white. I had to bring a certain feeling of uneasiness to the final piece, so I made the character look uncanny with black empty eyes that contrasts with the white eyes of the cat. The lines surrounding the characters represent the tunnel mentioned in the book, that links the real world to its alternate.
